I would like to find more farmers who grow natural, quality grains. I buy wheat and milo from some farmers
in the county at harvest times but would like to find those crops locally year round. Also, I would like to buy barley,
buckwheat, field peas and such, if you grow any.
I feed my birds a more natural way, and it results in healthy birds with better quality eggs and meat than commercial
rations. Whole milo is available free choice in large feeders. And once or twice a day, rolled corn and rolled
barley are dampened with soy products, fishmeal, and vitamins and minerals mixed in by hand. Weeds and
mowed grass is always fed when it is around.
