S.C. Light Brown Leghorn
The best of my breeds for egg production and longevity.
Color pattern helps for being free ranging farm birds. They tend to be dominant when other breeds are in their flock
and are prone to flightiness if not handled when growing up. One dozen purebreed eggs are priced at

Exchequer Leghorn
My lightest weight breed. They eat less and
lay a smaller sized egg. A little wilder than the other breeds. The hens have a lower status in a mixed flock
of heavier birds. More curious towards life than the Brown Leghorns. An endangered breed and dropped from A.P.A.
recognition due to it's extremely small number living in the late 1900s and today.

So tame you just scoop 'em up when you walk in the door.
They hear you coming and wait by the door or run outside to see you if the house is open. Latest to start laying, unreliable
broodies, enjoy being held. Heaviest breed and the cocks and some hens prefer lower made roosts.
